Names needed for new referees course
We are once again attempting to recruit as many people as possible who are interested in qualifying as referees in our efforts to combat the current extreme shortage of referees for local football.
As you are aware, many fixtures in the senior and junior divisions are played without a qualified referee and with the 2009-2010 season approaching, the situation is looking dire.
Local referees are being promoted through the system and there is a lack of people coming through to replace them.
We want to hold a referees course as soon as possible which will be run by an experienced Football Association of Wales instructor.
The course will be held locally and will last for around 6-8 weeks. It is completely free of charge.
If you are interested or would like further details, then contact Society secretary Paul Fisher on 07986 317279 or email pbf.ref@ntlworld.com
Anyone over 16 years of age will be made welcome. Women will be particularly welcome. Players and officials are eligible to assist in leagues so are also encouraged to join the course.
Successful candidates will receive a Football Association of Wales certificate and will be helped to start refereeing at an early date.
GET IN TOUCH AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
